-Who we are

About Us

My Name Is Brent. I spent more than 30 years in aerospace and defense manufacturing — designing and building systems where failure isn't an option and tolerances are measured in thousandths. That background shapes how I think about everything.

When I got serious about overlanding, I kept running into the same problem: the gear on the market didn't reflect serious engineering. Storage systems that flexed under load. Mounting solutions that looked good in photos and failed on the trail. Apps that were built by developers who had never packed a vehicle for a two-week expedition. Nobody was approaching this space with the discipline it deserved.

That gap is why AX Mfg exists.

I started this company to build the tools I couldn't find — hardware engineered to the same standards I held in aerospace, and software designed around how overlanders actually think and prepare. Rig-Locker came directly from my own frustration trying to manage a build, track weight distribution, and prep gear without a purpose-built system.

This is still early. But the engineering behind it isn't.
